Reducing insurance rates

I have decided I hate insurance. I guess to be fair, I hate insurance companies. It seems they are always out for themselves and want to do whatever they can to make money. I understand it is a business, but when you pay all this money for a “service”, why it is the worst service available. I am in the process of decreasing our premium. Auto insurance was pretty basic. There was no much I could do to get any deductions. However, with our home insurance, I could. I had Security CHoice install an alarm system in the house. I have been wanting to get one for quite some time, but never got around to it. When I learned it qualified us for an insurance reduction, it moved to the top of the list. It is actually something I can’t argue. It makes perfect sense to me. Not only will it make me feel safe, but it will hopefully protect our house and our assets. I do not know why it took me this long to have it installed. I guess in the long run, I should thank the insurance company. If it was not for them, I probably would have never had it installed. However, I am not sure that is enough for me to start liking them.
